Hello everyone! I wanted to start writing again once I have begun my Pastry Classes at….yes Johnson and Wales University! I am currently studying Baking & Pastry Arts and Food Service Management. Each week, I’ll update you on a lab I have already taken, or a lab that I am currently taking. The ones I have taken already are:
- Fundamental Skills & Techniques
- Pies & Tarts
- Cookies & Petit Fours
- Hot & Cold Desserts
Being a college student has been crazy to say the least. I started off taking my academic classes, which is why it took me a while to actually get into the kitchen and update you all. But, of course I love knowing that everyday I wake up, I know that I’m working hard for something I love so much and really want to be successful in. To give a quick update, I went from being a regular freshman to the Head of Events for the Latino Student Organization, a member on the Collegiate Ambassador Team, and now a freshman Resident Assistant for the 2018 Spring Term! It’s been a whirlwind of emotions, there has been so many ups and downs with me moving 6 hours away from home, but it’s all worth it in the end. So, I look forward to sharing my college journey with you lovelies :), and can’t wait to show you what I’ve learned so far!
