Rocky Road Brownies

              I got a request from a twitter follower to do these. I had never tried making brownies but they came out SO good!!! My recipe is inspired by Savory Sweet Life . Although, I did change a few things to fit to my tasting. These were easier to bake than I had planned and they take less than half an hour to bake! Just be careful of the marshmallows, mine melted on the top so you should probably put them when the brownies are halfway through baking. Other than that, these brownies won’t dissapoint you and you will fall in love with these each time! Heres the recipe-


1/2 cup of butter, melted
1/3 cup and 1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder (yes, 2 different cups)
2 1/2 cups of white sugar
4 teaspoons of vanilla extract
1/4 teaspooon of salt
1 tablespoon of milk (I used 1% milk)
4 large eggs
1/3 cup of sliced almonds
1/2 cup of milk chocolate chips
3/4 cup of mini marshmallows

1. Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees

2. In a large bowl, by hand, mix together the melted butter and sugars. Then, whisk the eggs one by one into the bowl.

3. Mix in the dry ingredients and vanilla extract (by hand again) untill the mixture looks like the picture above.

4. Lightly spray a jelly roll pan with non-stick spray.
5. Spread the batter evenly into the jelly roll pan. Next, evenly disribute the chocolate chips, and sliced almonds onto the batter. (I recommend putting the marshmallows on top when the brownies are halfway through baking or else the marshmallows will melt.)
6. Bake the brownies for 25 minutes.

7. Let the brownies cool in the pan for 25-30 minutes. Then, cut the brownies out and place them on a cooling rack for 10-15 minutes.
